LED light therapy is a non-invasive, painless, and natural way to boost skin function, health, and treatment results.
Award-winning Dermalux LED features the only three clinically proven LED wavelengths at high power and efficacy and can simultaneously treat multiple skin concerns at once.
What you should know:
-
LED emits different forms of light energy that can be absorbed by receptors in our skin cells. Depending on the wavelength (or color) of light, this energy will have different effects. LED is a form of non-invasive biomodulation, which means it’s using natural light energy to improve the function of your skin without trauma, pain, or recovery time.

Dermalux uses the three clinically proven wavelengths of red (640nm), blue (415nm) and near-infrared (830nm). Here’s a brief rundown on what they do:
Red: stimulates the mitochondria, which is the part of the cell that produces energy. Over time, our cells run out of energy and can’t maintain healthy function properly, so by stimulating this, the skin cells work harder and smarter to even out pigment, firm the skin, and maintain even texture. Think of it as your cup of coffee before a work day!
Blue: It reaches the surface of the skin and produces anti-bacterial oxygen within the pores. Acne bacteria love to sit in the pore when it’s filled with oil because they can’t live in oxygen, so by introducing the one thing they hate into their home—hello LED, goodbye breakouts!
Near-infrared: A favourite of ours here, near-infrared reaches deep into the tissue and stimulates the release of the wound healing cascade. This improves the healing of irritated, sensitive skin as well as breakouts and inflammation.

Most people can benefit from LED light therapy. However, if you fit into the following categories, it’s not advisable. If you’re not sure if these apply to you, don’t worry! We’ll always double check conditions and medications before treatment.
Photosensitizing medications
Lupus
Photosensitive epilepsy
Pregnancy*
Porphyria
Albinism
Light-induced headaches
Cancer
Eye disease or sensitivity
*LED light therapy is not considered safe for pregnancy as it is not ethical to test on pregnant women. If you wish to go ahead with LED therapy and take this risk, we’ll ask you to sign a short waiver to declare that you understand this.
-
LED works in a cumulative fashion, meaning the more treatments you have in a short time, the better! As LED works to ‘recharge your skin’s batteries’, having multiple sessions done in a short time allows these ‘batteries’ to recharge fully before they are depleted again.
For best results, we recommended the Dermalux Power Plan, which involves:
2 sessions per week for 4 weeks
1 session per week for 4 weeks
Monthly maintenance sessions
If you wish to undertake this plan, we offer discounts on bulk packages.
-
There’s none at all! As the LED is high powered and can create heat, you may have some superficial flushing for 15-20 minutes however as this settles you’ll be left with nothing but glowing skin.
Stand Alone Session — $79
Glow Getter LED Membership: $69 / $125 / $255
Utilise the cumulative benefits of LED therapy with a monthly, fortnightly, or weekly LED session!
*Lock in period of 6 months
